IT CONCERNS ME..... It concerns me when the church seems to be limiting God to a specific pattern of operation. Blessings are reduced to monetary value only. Materialism seems to be the driving force behind what is proclaimed to be the unmerited favour. The finished work of calvary is undermined by the very people whos faith is supposedly found upon the teachings of Christ. Too much focus is on demons and the powers thereof than on the work and power of the Holy Spirit. The only way to attract people and increase membership in churches is to introduce some miracle performing objects (water, oil,handkerchief etc) than to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. The freedom that comes through faith in the son of God when the son sets you free you are free indeed is undermined by constant preaching of deliverance which comes by practising certain rituals and the use of certain objects by certain prophets whos work is nothing but to run after powers of evil than preaching Christ crucified the redemption of sin. Prosperity seems to be the main message in the body of Christ than reunion with God through faith in the son of God. The gospel have become an income generating mechanism and churches have become corporates with policies far from the word of God and purely based upon protecting shareholder interests. Preachers of the word have become bigger than the very Jesus we proclaim to be servants of. The spirit of servant hood has been replaced by idolisim to church leaders. Infancy is nurtured in the body of Christ to pave a way for easy manipulation and this is done through condemnation and constant threats in a bit to thwart maturity. The grace of God is used as an excuse to sin. We seem to have moved from the message of the cross and moved to a message of our own. WHATS YOUR TAKE?
