IT IS NEVER TOO LATE By Pastor Abimbola Abeni Daramola on 01/08/14 Brethren, it is never too late because you serve a God of NOW. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Every situation that seems to be limited by time will be delivered today! John 11:32-44 [The account of Lazarus, Mary, & Martha] God will be troubled about your situation today! Jesus wept. You serve a God that loves you no matter what you may be going through. Martha said by this time, he stinketh... YOU WILL SEE THE GLORY OF GOD TODAY! Lazarus came out bound hand and foot. THE ENEMY WILL LET YOU GO TODAY! Being late is defined by time. Overdue. Delay. Last minute. Belated. Tardy. Brethren, our God can never be constrained by time. It is impossible for God to be late because he is not controlled by time. For example, a five year old child should be talking and if he isnt we say there is a delay. If a forty year old woman isnt married, we say there is a delay. GOD IS NOT CONTROLLED BY TIME! Our God is a God of suddenly. If you have a cup that is empty yet God says you will enjoy overflow, he is more than able to make it happen! Time factor is what hinders peoples overflow. God is not limited by time. At the Holy Ghost congress, God said that THIS YEAR (2014), YOU WILL NOT WALK, YOU WILL NOT RUN; I WILL GIVE YOU WINGS! YOU WILL SOAR LIKE AN EAGLE! YOUR DELAY IS OVER! YOUR WEEPING IS OVER! YOUR SUFFERING IS OVER! God said in the bible that I wish above all things that thou prospereth and be in health even as thy soul prospereth. He said the thoughts that I think towards you are not of evil but of peace...As children of God, we should be envied and not pitied. God is the I AM THAT I AM. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is a God of NOW in that situation so that his glory is shown. With all this being said, why do people experience delay if God is not limited by time? Brethren, the answer is DISOBEDIENCE. Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORDs hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. WHY ARE WE NOT RECEIVING OUR BLESSINGS NOW? - Disobedience. Search yourself. In what areas are we in disobedience? God told seventy-five year old Abraham to leave his fathers house but Abraham took his nephew (Lot) with him. It just so happened that God did not speak to Abraham again until he separated from Lot (Gen. 13:14). - The evil one. In Matthew 13, the sower sowed good seed but while man slept the enemy sowed tares among the wheat. EVERYTHING THE ENEMY HAS CORRUPTED IN YOUR LIFE, GOD WILL ADDRESS NOW!!! Pharaoh was ensuring that the Israelites remained in bondage. He asked Moses Who is that God that I should let the people go? TODAY GOD WILL SHOW EVERY PHARAOH IN YOUR LIFE THAT HE IS YOUR GOD! - Prayerlessness. This can hold back the hand of God. Daniel fasted and prayed and God sent an angel with answers to his prayers but the Prince of Persia withstood the angel twenty-one days (Daniel 10:12-13)! Brethren, IT IS NOT BY POWER BUT BY PRAYER! Pray without ceasing. The enemy is constantly contending with our joy and peace. We have to perpetually be in the place of prayer. But unfortunately we are sleeping when the enemy is persecuting us! - Sin. The bible tells us in the book of Galatians that God is not mocked; whatever a man sows, he reaps. Many have sown evil seeds that have germinated! - Self righteousness & pride. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. The predicament some are might be that they are being resisted by God as a result of pride! - Ingratitude. Not honoring God for what he has already done for you (Deuteronomy 28:47). - Wrong use of tongue. Brethren, watch your tongue. God says in Numbers 14:28 that As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you In the midst of a storm, do not make any decisions because it is God that needs to move and not you. Life and death are in the tongue. - Curses. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us. That the blessings of Abraham might come upon us and we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith. - Not yet. Brethren, to everything there is a season. God makes all things beautiful in his time. EFFECTS OF DELAY 1. Hope deferred makes the heart sick (Prov. 13:12). 2. Discouragement. 3. Fear 4. Error. Sarah helped God by compromising. She told Abraham to have a son with Hagar. 5. Sins. WHY IS IT NOT TOO LATE FOR YOU? 1. Because God is the Almighty and is not limited by time. He can make and unmake. He can enthrone and dethrone. He can open doors noone can shut. HE WILL SHOW UP AS ALMIGHTY IN YOUR SITUATION! 2. He is the God that says Nothing is too hard for me (Jeremiah 33:27). 3. Everything concerning you is for an appointed time. If God comes too early, it will not bring him glory. If he comes too late, it will not bring him glory. He wants you to be the sermon people need to hear and stir up faith in them. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry (Hab. 2:3). 4. God loves you. YOU WILL EXPERIENCE DIVINE INTERVENTION! When the children of God had the problem of Pharaoh, there was a divine intervention and every yoke was removed! 5. God feels your pain. Jesus wept when he saw the pain of Mary and Martha. Every time you are weeping, God is weeping. Hezekiah wept bitterly and God said to him I have seen your tears ...Brethren, God has emotions. He said in Isaiah 43:3 that I will never leave you nor forsake you. WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF IS A DELAY 1. Just believe God. It does not matter how old you are. With God NOTHING shall be impossible (Luke 1:37). Have faith in God (Heb. 11:6). 2. Be tenacious about serving God. Quitters dont win and winners dont quit. 3. Be righteous. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4. Purge yourself. Obedience is better than sacrifice. 5. Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 6. Our praise and worship should be more than God. When Daniel prayed, God sent an angel with his answers. When Jesus prayed, God sent angels to minister to him. Mary, Jarius, and Bartemeus worshipped God and God himself attended to their needs!!! GOD DWELLS IN PRAISE AND WORSHIP. PRAYERS - Lord, give me a heart of gratitude. I thank you because my case is not too late. 1st Cor. 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us. - What is out of control in your life? IT IS TIME TO PURGE! You cant balance a forty-five thousand a year job but you are believing God for a hundred thousand a year job! You cant give God one hour of prayer daily yet you are asking him for more anointing! You cant manage your congregation of fifty yet you are asking God to increase your church! BRETHREN, IT IS TIME TO PURGE!!! Father, I purge out the old leaven that I may be a new lump! - Marthas faith was weak. Father, disgrace my doubt! Rubbish my unbelief! Do a wonder in my life! Catapult me to my glory! - O God of How did it happen?, SHOW UP IN MY CASE! Father, Let HOW-DID-IT-HAPPEN-MIRACLE BE MY PORTION !!! - Father, give me wings. Let me fly in 2014! Catapult me to my breakthrough! Let me soar like an eagle! - Father, you are the resurrection and the life (John 11:25). The Shunamite woman was no longer thinking about children anymore. Father, resurrect EVERYTHING dead in my life that should be alive! Breathe the breath of life into every dead situation! - Father, if there is any Prince of Persia delaying my blessings, DEAL WITH THEM!!! Dispatch your warring angels to fight every Prince of Persia delaying my blessings!!! - Father, the miracle that makes people to dance without music, let it be my portion this year!!!
