IT Services Downtime Due to essential summer maintenance work, a campus wide electrical power shutdown will place this Saturday 17th August. The scheduled Maintenance window, will begin from Friday 16th August @ 14.00 for non-essential servers and finish on Sunday 18th August @ 14:00 Essential infrastructure failover will take place between CIT ‘s Data Centres during the power down. Impacted: The Main Building, F Block & E Block (Bishopstown Campus) will have no phones, email, internet or wireless Saturday (07.00 -19.00). Blackrock Castle Observatory will not have email or internet access. Staff will not be able to access their email archives or voicemail as these servers will be offline during this time. Non-Impact: The CIT Cloud programme for students will not be affected. The additional Bishopstown campus buildings, including Rubicon, Nimbus & Melbourn CCAD, CSM & NMCI should have email, internet, wireless access and phones operational. Due to the resilience of CIT’s virtual environments, all efforts are being made to have the majority of systems online during this time.
