Tdh is registered ( Reg.no.70) with Min of Economy in Afghanistan. Job Description The incumbent of the position is responsible for maintaining proper flow of the mission information technology as well as managing the computer systems by providing different update solutions for hardware & software problems, related to information technology. IT Officer will be responsible for keeping Tdh main office with usual trip to Tdh all sub offices computers in a good function and manner and upgraded. Duties & responsibilities: Perform and provide IT Service, LAN/WAN Connection, Internet, Emails, Hardware & Software solution and services for Tdh main office and as well as all sub offices in order for smooth running all needed IT operations. To ensure consistent flow of information, regular communication systems and support the technical aspects of the missions information technology. Maintained and administrating LAN for providing constant office automation support to main office as well as to all sub-offices. Make sure all assets in the project are maintained and repaired according to the Tdh procedures. Responsible for installing all standard software used in Tdh Afghanistan mission wise computers for daily office activities. Responsible for installing and up to date security software in each computers belong to all Tdh that use this office IT and computer resources. To maintain and addressing Tdh Afghanistan mission wise (main office and sub offices) computer hardware and software troubleshooting problems, and provide appropriate solution. Responsible to keep clean and free of dust all IT devices and equipment used in Tdh Afghanistan cleaning tools are recommended. Provide and design LAN/WAN facilities and all its proper troubleshooting for Tdh main office and sub offices as per need. Installation and configuration of Country office File Server Provide different solutions to the problems of computer hardware / software, LAN, emails system, Internet and data backup etc. Responsible for all IT related services on various aspects of IT, Email, LAN, Hardware and Software, basic troubleshooting. Provide computer software, hardware, IT system, new tools, and communication system coaching/training to the staff in main office as well as sub-offices. To make back up of the periodically, and providing specification of the IT related equipments whenever needed Assist procurement section in providing the right spaces for requesting of IT equipments. To carry out all this section administrative work and any other identical task assigned by the respective supervisor. Providing update list of Afghanistan based Tdh offices computers, printers, and their condition location meanwhile prepare maintenance report to this section and as well as to reporting party. Prepare IT monthly base report of daily activities and submit to country representative. Undertakes upgrading of computers (Hardware, Software) in Tdh offices to maintain current Tdh standards and, subsequent installation of the new software platforms. Ensure the proper use of the computers and giving briefing to new users on the use of the IT system. Manage the inventory of all IT related equipment including maintaining records of all new installations, redeployment, procurements and write-offs. Facilitate the procurement process to ensure that spare parts are obtained in a timely manner and that equipment is serviced regularly. Assists and supports the Tdh office in maintaining the Asset Track system. To visit all Tdh sub offices for computer hardware/software problems, preferably troubleshooting and providing appropriate services to concern office and make sure the photocopiers have maintenance Ensure the proper full backup is done on a monthly basis and the Antivirus update on a bi-weekly/monthly basis on the computers Prepared a monthly report and updates of maintenance, and all IT activities. Any other identical task assigned by the respective supervisorTravel Job Requirements Qualification: High school graduated and Bachelor in IT or equivalent to the similar trade in computer sciences. WORK EXPERIENCE: Required Skills & Experience: Five years’ work experience in a relevant field, preferably with an international organization. Well understanding of windows 2008 GPO (Group Policy Object) and Exchange 2010. SKILLS: Professional Problem diagnostic & troubleshooting ability. Good knowledge of administration LAN, Internet and Email system. Ability to identify and solve computer software/hardware related problem. Ability to install computer and newly introduced packages in computers. LANGUAGES: Good command of written and spoken Pashto, Dari and English. GENERAL: Ability to train other, cooperative, Competent, willingness and ability to travel inside Afghanistan. Well understanding of Linux. Cisco Switching Subnet LAN Security/VLAN/VTP/Trunk (Sub Interface) Dependable to be at work during assigned shifts and to complete work as expected. Experience with documenting procedures. Preferred Skills & Experience: LAN, WAN, Windows Servers, Exchange Server, Active Directory, Network cabling, A+ Hardware, Cisco switches / routers /firewalls/ VPN’s. Good knowledge of DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP. Bachelor in Information Communication Technology or Computer Science. Ability to live and work closely with a diverse team of individuals in a highly intense and fluid work and security environment.
