ITS NOT OUT OF IMAGINATION, ITS THE BELIEF THAT COUNTS There is this one thing that has been bothering me and each time it recurs my spirit is frustrated. Ive learnt though that it is God trying to show me something, and because I believe Im a christian, I dont live in sin but instead, God shows me my weaknesses. There is one thing though that I think most of us need to pray on; to be able to separate our belief from our imagination. When Paul went to Athens he ministered a word and part of it reads, therefore since we are Gods offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone - an image made by human design and skill. Now, I used to be one of those people who get so offended if someone walks in on me praying or disturbs me during the time I would want to be devoting and meditating on the word of God. That type of person who fixes a certain time of prayer and if its past that time I felt low in spirit and as if my prayer wont be accepted by God because I havent lived up to what Im used to (thats imagination). There are times, when you pray and you feel within you that indeed your prayer has reached heaven. And there are times where you pray and even after that you feel low and like you havent done anything, resulting in you having little doubt about God. At some point only praying as protocol, just saying mere words because it has just become a habit (thats imagination). God created heaven and earth, he doesnt reside in shrines or altars, yet hes not far from any of us. It is out of our own belief that we allow Gods power to be thriving in us. You might have just prayed and gotten up in spirit and then straight after that you sin and only realise after that that you have wronged God. Maybe at that moment you count yourself unworthy and drift further away. Yes you might have wronged God, but as a christian you should know that sin is not meant to hold you back BUT it is God showing you your weaknesses. You should now be able to separate your christian reality which is belief from your fleshy desire which is imagination. What youre used to or how you feel may sometimes contribute to your state of mind and how much you think you know God. But sadly thats only in your head, because your relationship with God is not based on how you feel but on faith and belief in God. We need to be able to feel the spirit of God within our hearts and not let our heads (imagination) mislead us. Difficult as it may be, whenever anything happens, for you to appreciate the love of God, dont see sin as temptation but as God being good to you in moulding you into perfection by showing you your weaknesses. And after you realise them, in as much as the same thing keeps happening and you keep sinning though you dont want to, God is still showing you your weakness. You will always be that close because his grace is always sufficient enough. Not that you should dwell into sin because his grace is sufficient, but we should take advantage of our salvation, uphold the law for his glory to fully manifest in our lives. God loves us, we are his. His love is up for grabs to everyone available on the basis of belief. Your head must not control you. Let the spirit of God fill you in from the heart. Let us pray for him to help us come out of our own imaginations that makes us feel close to God but deceive us even more, and hold onto belief regardless.
