ITS YOUR COMMUNITY, GET INVOLVED The meeting of October 9 was a successful gathering of concerned citizens, representatives of active organizations, and officials from the borough council and police department. Attached are the minutes from that meeting. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, November 6 at the Casino Theater. All are encouraged to attend. At this meeting, we would like to give a quick update of what has happened so far, and then give the opportunity for breakout groups to meet, get to know each other, and set up separate committee meetings based on the categories that were on the signup sheets at the first meeting. If you signed up for any specific area of interest, you will be receiving a separate email with the update minutes. Please, if anyone couldnt make it to the October community meeting, plan to come to the November 6 meeting. All are welcome. The groups that will be formed are currently: Trees, Streets and Lights; Library; Parks & Recreation (Including the Pool), Public Building and Grounds; Safety and Private Properties/Beautification;Casino Theater, Trails &Waterway Connector, Grant Writing, and VIP. The existing borough council committee members will be a part of these groups, and will review and advise regarding any proposed ideas. This will enable good and productive communication between the borough officials and citizen committees.
