IWA PRESS RELEASE 24TH AUGUST 2013 IGBO WORLD ASSEMBLY COMMENDS PRESIDENT GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN AND FEDERAL MINISTER FOR AVIATION PRINCESS STELLA ODUAH Igbo World Assembly (IWA) took a HISTORIC, CRITICAL and REMARKABLE STOCK on the Saturday 24th August 2013, as the first international airline - The Ethiopian Airlines Landed at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria. CRITICAL in the sense that it took till Saturday the 24th August 2013, for Nigerian government to take a Strategic Economic Development STEP by Establishing an international airport in the South Eastern part of Nigeria. Igbo World Assembly (IWA) is aware that it was not an easy task to achieve this HISTORIC and REMARKABLE development on the 24th of August 2013. Hon Minister of Aviation Princess Stella Uduah, Igbo World Assembly (IWA) COMMENDS your achievements and professionalism in making Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu a reality, as well as the good jobs you are doing in other airports across the country. IWA uses this opportunity to urge the Nigerian State Governors to fully support the Hon Minister and other Serving, Elected and Appointees of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. IWA ENCOURAGES CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISMS, but these must be presented appropriately with FAIRNESS AND RELEVANT FACTS. The Nigerian State Governors should EXERCISE RESTRAINTS in their public statements to avoid sending wrong messages.
