You craved the dark because it was mysterious and she depended on you. Occasionally there were objections. No! Thats wicked! - Its good, though. Aint it? It was a time when people didnt know much. We had Korea. Some people thought Korea was the other side of Etobicoke. I came from England and claimed I had blue blood, related to Royalty. People said I was vein. I said I spoke English and they said, Go tell it to the Marines! I had never heard of Thanksgiving! Harvest Home, yes. Thanksgiving, no. I didnt know what to do on Thanksgiving. The radio said, Take a Fairy to Toronto Island. I looked round for a fairy. No fairies. I asked a policeman, Where can I find a fairy? He nearly exploded and then said, I hope you mean a ferry - down there at the Ferry Dock. Ah! the Fifties - a difficult time.
