Ian Hobbs has nominated me to undertake the 10 book challenge. Originally I found this difficult as I havent found time to read in years (thats children for you) but suddenly my mind has opened so here goes; 1) the Bell Tolls, Nancy Drew. I loved the excitement as a young girl 2) Forever by Judy Blume. Amazing to think this was smuggled into primary school, positively innocent in todays society! 3) DH Lawrence Lady Chatterleys Lover. And who couldnt fancy Sean Bean in the TV adaptation 4) The Kite Runner, Khaled Hosseini. Beautiful and emotional 5) Twilight Saga, Stephanie Meyer. Go team Edward!!! 6) Birdsong, Sebastian Faulks. Inspired me to read all of his books. Amazing book. 7) Captain Corellis Mandolin, Louis de Bernieres. Made me smile, cry and go on holiday to Cephallonia. 8) Angels and Demons, Dan Brown and much better than the Da Vinci Code 9)ooooh getting harder Like water for chocolate by Laura Esquivel 10) for all you parents bedtime would not be the same without stick man oh stick an beware of the dog in the deep dark wood a mouse saw a nut a silvery trail saying lift wanted around the world my tie is a scarf for a cold giraffe Julia Donaldson makes my son love books and he can recite many from memory (this is a cheat as this is a whole series of books) So this is by no means a highbrow list but it was enjoyable naming but a few. I nominate Laura Jade Parfitt, Anna Karenina and Annette Ball
