WAR AGAINST FAMILY DESTROYERS 2 “Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the well-favoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcraft”. - Nahum 3:4 Dearly beloved you are welcome to yet another insightful moment of the word of God. The word of God has the power to set you free from every bondage. The word of God is truth and that is what we preach and practice as a church. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). Still on the issue of family destroyers. When a destroyer enters into a family, what are the things it goes after? 1. Star of the family: Star brings light into a family. When a star shines into a family glory gains access into it. In other words, where there is no star there will be no glory. When the star of any family is arrested by the destroyer, members of the family begin to live in confusion. As you know, without light people stumble. The first thing a family destroyer does when it gains entrance into a family is to locate the star of that family and quench it. They do this because they operate in darkness. 2. The root of the family: Elementary biology reveals that the root is what supplies the rest of the plant with nutrients. So therefore, the family root supplies the branches of the family with life and vitality. When this root becomes poisoned, it generates bitter water and sends it to the rest of the body. Some parents issue out curses to their children. I will have you know that it is not their making; they probably have been bewitched by family destroyers who use them as vectors to transmit their poison. A man once laid a curse on his children indirectly, saying that they would grow up and become people of note but that their mother would never eat out of their sweat. It happened that when the children were still little, they would always run to their mother for comfort and refuge any time they were disciplined by their father, who was quite a disciplinarian. So with time they naturally grew to love their mother more than their father. So the man on realising that and knowing what the future holds for him should the trend continue, angrily laid a curse on the wife which invariably affected the children. These children grew up to be successful in their various fields of study but remained jobless by reason of the curse pronounced by their father. Hence, their mother remained uncared for. This continued until the curse was renounced by their father. Who entered that family? Family destroyers. Satan cannot gain access into any family where there’s unity. That is why he goes about afflicting families with hatred and strife, which in turn sows the seed of disunity in the family. What are family destroyers? 1. Sorcery or witchcraft: Every evil manifestation found in families has its source in witchcraft. Witches are enemies of family glory and destiny. They take away the peace and joy of a family. They are like locusts that go after green plants. Witchcraft has so improved on their networking that you hardly enter into any family now without seeing any of their agents. Nahum 3:4 says, “Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the well-favoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcraft”. - Nahum 3:4. Witchcraft powers sell families. The first point of contact of a witch in a family is the family idol. It gives them information about the family. 2. Spirit of hatred: When this enters a family, mother will hate father, father will hate mother and children will hate one another. 3. A situation where the father builds an altar for idols instead of God: A family where the altar isn’t for God but for the devil is doomed. How to overcome family destroyers 1. To overcome family destroyers you must make sure that you are not a destroyer yourself. 2. Your life must be found in Christ. You must be genuinely born again. 3. Your sins must be forgiven, that is, you must be washed in the blood of the Lamb. 4. There must be unity, love and peace in your home because a house divided against itself shall not stand. Prayer points 1. Thank God for His word. 2. O God my Father, if there is any family destroyer in my family, arise O Lord, destroy them now in the name of Jesus. 3. Every spirit of backwardness attacking my life and family, catch fire in the name of Jesus. 4. Every power attacking the stars of my family be destroyed by fire in the name of Jesus. 5. Anything from the foundation of my life attacking me day and night, come out catch fire and burn to ashes in Jesus name. (Married couples pray: any power attacking me because of my wife/ husband, come out catch fire burn to ashes in Jesus name).
