Iconic EastEnders characters will be brought back from the dead for a Children in Need special. Pat Butcher, Kathy Mitchell, Cindy Beale and murdered Lucy Beale will return to Albert Square to haunt Ian Beale, The Sun reports. Lucy tells a devastated Ian that aside from living under the same roof, she doesnt consider him family anymore. A TV source told The Sun: We are getting some of the shows most iconic names back for one night only. Its going to be historic. All the characters have a link to Ian Beale and they are going to come back to haunt him in scenes that will feature his past and present. They added: This is going to be an absolute must-watch evening of TV for any EastEnders fan. Cindy, portrayed by Michelle Collins, died in 1998, Pam St Clements Pat Butcher passed away in 2012, while Kathy, played by Gillian Taylforth, left the soap in 2000. Viewers were told she had died in a car crash six years later. Lucy Beale, who was killed in a whodunit murder storyline this summer, will also be returning for the special. Collins told The Sun: I am doing something with EastEnders for Children In Need but thats all I can say. An EastEnders spokesperson told Digital Spy: We dont want to confirm the exact details just yet as we dont want to spoil the surprise but this is one Children in Need EastEnders viewers will not want to miss. Children In Need comes to BBC One on Friday, November 14 from 7pm.
