Id like to extend a personal invitation to the entire HDS community to this event, because frankly I think this is a conversation better had with the full range and diversity of opinion at HDS. The talk is expressly addressed to those who may be (unintentionally) doing harm to the broader discourse about and with the Muslim community. Voice, positionalities, and discursive hegemony (!) will be the Buzzwords of the Day™. So please stick around for a bit after Community Tea for what oughta be a lively (and of course civil) conversation about what imho we can do better as a community (and communities) in addressing Islam in public discourse!
