Id like to get some female perspective on this, specifically from Nicole Marie. My first issue with this video is that they get an incredibly competent and obviously intelligent woman to provide one perspective and an absolute Neanderthal rube to provide the other. My second problem is with the argument repeatedly being formatted as a generalization: men dont understand...men think this is ok. Im a man. I understand. And I think this kind of behavior is stupid. Id much rather hear something like, there are certain idiots out there, men and women alike, who think that all life situations equate to a meat-market singles bar. Most of these idiots are men. Why is it that this behavior is displayed more often by men? Innate and antediluvian programming. We instinctively go out and try to find as many mates as possible to propagate the species, etc. Not saying that excuses the behavior; Im just saying this is why women encounter this from some men and not the other way around. My questions are, what do you want to do about it exactly? Get the word out to these idiots that women dont like it? How? The idiots who do this arent going to read your op-ed. Theyre downloading street fights on LiveLeak. Theyre not going to be watching CNN. And my follow up, taking everything into account Ive stated, why, exactly, does it bother you so much?
