I just saw a post from former student and split lead trumpeter, Kevin Burns, of the Airmen of Note Jazz Ensemble concerning some immediate health issues he is experiencing at the moment. Please send all of your positive energies and prayers on his behalf for a speedy and complete recovery! His post is below... Hospital update: After a few hours of an excruciating headache early Saturday morning, I went first to Andrews Air Force Base, then Southern Maryland Hospital where I received a CAT scan, which revealed a brain hemorrhage. Then I was transferred to Georgetown Hospital where I received an angiogram. Although my internal bleeding looked like a particular type of aneurysm, the test was inconclusive. I will be monitored closely every hour for a week, then receive another angiogram. Thanks so much for all the thoughts and prayers. This is my view for the next week or so...plus my gorgeous wife who remains by my side, and was the one who thankfully refused to let me tough it out at home.
