Id like to touch on the subject of buying puppies off the guys who sell them on the street. I know your heart goes out to these poor creatures, but if you arent able to take the dogs off without paying anything, then rather drive off and phone us (AWS). Ill send our inspector to confiscate and to attempt to find the rest of the litter. The problem with buying the puppies is that it encourages the seller to keep breeding and when the breeding machine isnt in season, they go about stealing puppies from elsewhere knowing that the public will buy them - thereby creating a lucrative trade. These people like to come out after-hours (thinking we wont be around). If our inspectors are busy or out of area, Ill do my best to get a volunteer to attend to it.
