Id like you all to meet a very special little boy. He has changed so many peoples lives. Premature Baby Michael was born at 27+3 weighing 1302 grams (2 pound 14 ounces). He was born on good Friday 2011. The first weekend he was alive i was told about 7 times to make preparations for his funeral as he wasnt responding well to his treatment. But he fought very hard for his life. He spent 70 days in hospital. We were one of the lucky ones as didnt have to have surgery, he never had a brain bleed like alot of others did. He did catch pneumonia and developed bacterial meningitis. Had to endure 4 lumber punctures. Then he wasnt making red blood cells so he had 2 blood transfusions. He was such a tiny little boy, who had a very scary roller coaster ride. When it first happened i couldnt believe it, i couldnt figure out why it had happened. What did i do wrong. I thought no one else knew what i was going through. Then when i started to look around and see others wondering the same and hearing all the other monitors and some of them not beeping at all. I knew then that alot of other families had it worse then us. But today Michael is big strong happy healthy 3 year old who can drive me completely insane, but i love him so very much and feel so lucky he fought so hard to be with me. **admin note: if you know Michael like I do, you would fall in love instantly! He is the most cheekiest and generous little boy. Fed me up on chocolates when I was pregnant.
