Idol groups are said to rarely surpass the 5-year mark. Well, what about 10+ years? A difficult feat without a doubt. However, according to k-pop fans, JYJ is the most likely to overcome the odds and do exactly that. An online community portal site, DC Inside, conducted a survey from March 15-25th, asking 3,029 netizens which male group they thought would still be around and actively promoting in 10 years time. The results were unanimous. JYJ took first place with 40.1% of the votes (1,215 people). JYJ consists of the former TVXQ members: Kim Jae-joong, Park Yoo-chun, and Kim Junsu. Following their departure from TVXQ and SM Entertainment, the three overcame many hurdles to freely promote as singers in Korea. Interestingly enough, their ex-group members, TVXQ took second place with 16.6% of the votes (504 people). U-Know Yunho and Max Chang-min stuck with SM Entertainment, promoting as a two-membered group since 2011. Third place was Big Bang with 6.2% (188 people). The longest-running boy group in Korean history, Shinhwa, also made the list, indicating fans had faith they would stay together another 10 years. SHINee, Infinite, and B1A4 were also amongst the contenders. KBS Global
