If I didnt come to the saving knowledge of Christ, i think I would have started a cult...its easy, people are often prisoners to the experiences of their five senses...the shared belief: if Ive never felt it, lived it, it doesnt exist...so create an artificial stimulating experience and blame it on superstition, with yourself positioned as mediator, and the people will venerate you... emotion, selected brain neuron pathways (memories), society, culture, superstition, religion, all can be the product of our combined passions, goals, security, insecurity. etc...maybe thats what makes the Bible such a hard pill to swallow, and i mean the entirety of it all, (the part that makes you feel warm & giddy inside and the part that makes you shake your head and look they other way,)...cause in this cesspool of human beings that crave autonomy and to be understand (when they dont even understand themselves) there comes a word that unclothes their soul to the point only the Holy Spirit can convict them to believe, because while we may like to get physically naked, psychological, spiritual and emotional nakedness reveals something more sinister...our terminal total depravity...our need for a savior...your experiences might be your own enemy. God makes the rules, not your emotions.
