If I ever question about why Im doing my podcast The School of Greatness, emails like this always remind me why. (cool site he has as well!) Dear Lewis, A note of gratitude.... About a year ago, I had a corporate job and an idea for a startup I wanted to pursue. I also have a wife and 3 little kids. To have enough focus and make it work, I had to make sacrifices and change some habits. One simple change I made was to take James Altuchers advice to stop listening to news. Further, I decided to only consume media that would strengthen me by inspiring and educating me. I loaded my phone with podcasts like the School of Greatness that have been my information diet for the past year. It seemed like a minor change at the time, but I think you and your guests have helped me by sharing examples of other real people striving for big things. I feel its influenced me in powerful ways that I could never measure. Today, I am building my company full time and got my first paying customers in the past few weeks.
