FireFoot’s story Part 1 (Firefoot) 1 Chapter 1 It was pitch black nothing was there suddenly I saw a small shape in the distance getting Closer and closer with every second I looked at the animal.It had big pointed ears and a long tail.I realized it was some kind of giant cat. It was running towards a clump of trees that had just appeared.The mystery cat turned around and Looked at me and Said wake up in a very filmler voice then the voice came again and the woods and the cat dispersed.I Felt a sharp jab on ribs and opened my eyes to see silverfur standing over me. you sleep like a hibernating hedgehog sied silver fur in an annoyed voice.Its nearly sunhigh and Ravenshade wants you on a hunting patrol.I slepley fowled silverfur out into the clearing it was completely empty every cat was out patrolling or in their nest trying to escape the blazing new leaf sun.longfang,grassfur,and birchpaw were waiting at the thistle barrier.Finley youre up Firefoot I chould have run from here to Redfish brook and back again before you woke up.sied longfang. Lets go already. As we were walking in the forest I heard a leaf crinkling I jumped on the leaf and snapped the neck of the large vole under it. I picked up the limp body of the vole and scraped dirt over it to get it later. By the time we got to camp I added a mose,crow,and vole to the fresh kill pile I grabbed a starling and padded over to a shady spot under a pine tree. I finished the starling in a few famished bites.suddenly mallowstars patrol. came rushing through the barrier.mallowstar broke away from the patrol and did a running leap onto the holly oke and called for a clan meeting.what is the clan meeting about I asked sunfish? I don’t know but we’ll find out soon enough. The clearing was already full with cats. My patrol found strange cat scent on the mountain border were going to be doubling patrols on that border to make sure the cat doesnt wander into our territory. Also wildkit has reached his six moon and is ready to be apprentice. The clearing parted to let a vary well groomed kit who was trying not to bounce up and down as he walked up to mallowstar. From this day forward until you earn your warrior name you will be know as wildpaw. your mentor will be firefoot.I hope Firefoot will pass down all she knows to you. I paded up to mallowstar. Firefoot,you are ready to take on a apprentice. you have received excellent training from willowleaf,and you have shown yourself to be one of the best hunters in the clan and can run as fast as a deer. I saw a moment of hesitation on wildpaws face be for she came forward and touched noses with me. But I didnt have time to have a second thought about it when the clan started cheering wildpaw’s new name. when the cheering had died down and the cats in the clearing were retreating to their dens. what do we do now asked wildpaw? I take you on a tour of the territory. really wow I finally get to see the forest where we live in! ... This is the border we share with the mounta... I paused mid sentence when I suddenly caught a strong whiff of a strange cat scent I wiped my head around to see an outline of a giant cat far off in the distance something about the cat seemed filmler. I notched wildpaw looking over my shoulder at the cat to is that a clan cat? she asked. No I don’t know who it is maybe it’s the rogue that mallowstar said was hanging around the border? I turned around lets go to a another border. Later at camp ; wildpaw collapsed as soon as we came threw the barrier. I never realized that our territory was so big. It always seems so big the first time. sied owlpaw. he was only a moon older than wildpaw and the only other apprentice in the clan. Want to share a Honeyeater with me sure. Wildpaw got up and walked away I walked up to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a ground squirrel. As I ate the image of the giant cat was burning in my mind. where have I’ve see that cat befor? when I curled up in my nest I thought of the busy day I had and the strange cat? I feel asleep trying to remember where I’ve see it befor. I was dreaming that I was exploring unknown territory. when a noise came I sat up right I was in my nest in the warriors den that noise was just in my dream. Then I heard another noise I carefully stepped around sleeping and walked into the clearing to see wildpaw standing looking around.what are you doing up? I sied Firefoot are you trying to scare me to death. What are you doing up? wildpaw asked me. i heard strange noises in the clearing.Me too I came to see who’s out here sied wildpaw. That’s when I saw it the giant cat that we saw at the border the cat that was running towards the forest in my dream. The cat was right there in the camp hiding in the bushes and stocking us like we were prey. I jumped on top of wildpaw just as the cat lunged. Razor sharp claws grabbed my back and hurled me across the clearing. I sat there gasping in pain I opened my eyes to see wildpaw trying to fight off the cat but she was untrained and would not last long. I got up from a pool of blood that was forming around me. I crouched down and leaped onto the back of the giant cat and bite down on one of It’s big ears the cat growled with pain and tryed to buck me off. I lost my footing and slid off it’s back and right under it’s paws. It tryed to grab me but I was to fast. I spun around and grabbed onto it’s short bobbed tail and bite down until I heard a snap the bobcat roared with pain it spun around trying to catch me. It swing a massive paw at me so fast I had no time to react. My side burned with pain as I was hurled against the rocky side of the howell. I heard the sound of fighting cats. the bobcat had woken everyone up and they were trying to get It to leave. But the cat easily knocked away the cats with one swing of it’s massive paw. I heard someone scream at something. I wrenched myself to my paws and joined the fight against the bobcat. I slashed the bobcats side and when it reared up to jump on me silverfur slid under its belly and scratched its soft under fur. I moved to the back of the cat to distract it from silverfur. The bobcat suddenly shot out one of its huge back paws and kicked lionfish and I away from it. We landed in a bunch of flattened ferns. Lionfish got up again but but the fall had made my cuts bleed more. I felt so tired I just wanted to curl up and sleep while other warriors drove off the cat. I opened my eyes and struggled to sit up. I looked around the clearing trying to find wildpaw was she all right? My attention was drawn back to the battle when one of the wildcats massive paws sent lionfish,ashtail, and sliverpool flying across the clearing in a jumble of multicolored pelts. Blacknight jumped on the bobcats back from a league outside the warriors den in the side of the howell. blacknight dug his claws into the huge cats shoulder blade. The cat flipped over crushing blacknight under him. I let out a yowl to draw its attention away from blacknight hoping he’ll be able to escape. The cat just seemed to remember that I was there as it was looking at me blacknight slipped out from under the cat and slashed it’s right flank. I saw more warriors including mallowstar and ravenshade coming out of the corner of my eye the cat yowled as he saw the reinforcements coming. the bobcat jumped over the body of fearnlight and landed right next to me befor I could do anything it grabbed my neck in its jaws and picked me up as if I was a mouse. I heard someone scream my name as the cat bounded out of camp into the forest.I blinked open my eyes I saw the bobcat fighting a sharkclan hunting patrol they dodged it’s massive claws and paws as if they have trained to fight bobcats. I tryed to move but my body ached too much and I fell back down with a whimper. (Firefoot) 1 Chapter 2 I opened my eyes to see that I was in a flower filled clearing overlooking the ocean that was filled with red and orange colors from the setting sun It.Suddenly the water turned a different shade of red but It wasnt from the setting sun. The ocean was full of blood I turned around the once beautiful clearing was a deadly shade of black and smelled of rotten flesh. I looked over my shoulder to see a cat jumping from a jagged rock overlooking the clearing. The cat hung in the air like stuck in slow motion the cat fur was matted with blood but I could see a rain drop shaped spot on her chest it was hollystar the leader of sharkclan. Her face was stuck in a furious snarl but her eyes were full of fear. What was going on where was. I looked up the sky was blacker than the darkest night the earth shifted and dispersed with the ocean with a flash of light. I heard cats fighting as I blinked open my eyes trying to remember what happened I was lying on the ground near the sharkclan boarder. I remember fighting the giant cat then blacking out. the sharkclan patrol was still fending of the bobcat I heard shouts and all the cats expect the bobcat ran away. A twoleg carrying a odd stick the was perfectly and shiny one of the ends was hollow. the twoleg pointed the hollow end of the stick at the bobcat the cat hissed but made no attempt to attack the twoleg it slowly backed up and slinked back into the shadows of the forest. suddenly a cat came behind me slowly started dragging me backward towards the forest I struggled and tryed to sit up but a hissing voice behind me keep still or he will see us. A wave of nausea and tiredness suddenly overcame me and I closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes I was in a nest made of moss at first I thought I was in a medic cats den than I realized this was a open airy place with walls made of thorns I was in the bottom of a hollowed out tree under a mess of tangled roots that made up the ceiling a hole led under a large root and I could see daylight coming from the hole. The floor was embedded with pieces of colorful sea shells,crystals, and sea glass I struggled to get up. You might want to stay still unless you want to open the gash on your side again.I just noticed a tall tom with a pelt the color of the dark brownish black tree. he was lean and looked like a fast runner he had extremely long whiskers. I’m featherwhisker he said. What am I doing here? I asked. you almost became the mountain cats dinner. Arent you the medic cat in sharkclan... No I’m not at least not anymore. With that he dispersed throw the entrance hole. Wait where are we? I called after him but he was already gone. A while later he slipped back into the den carrying a dove and a sparrow. Here he said dropping the dove in front of me. He padded over to the center of the tree and laid down on a bunch of pine needles. Where are we? where at the forest near the crossing point. But were forbidden to come here. Yes I know that’s why it’s the safest place to be. (Featherwisker) 1 Chapter 3 I pushed my way in camp carrying comfrey and bitterroot.It has’t been this peaceful since befor the war with the sava cats. Befor I was even half way across camp my apprentice silverfish came rushing up to me . Redstar and shadowfur both badly sick. What! what happened? I don’t know. Feildwisker said that they were just on border patrol and they both collapsed. They have sudden fevers and are burning up. I raced to the medic cats den redstar and shadowfur where shivering on the floor. Redstar suddenly throw up a white substance that had petals in it. I grabbed a pawful of yarrow just as silverfish burst into the medic cats den I quickly shoved some yarrow stems towards her she instantly got what we were doing. She jumped over to shadowfur and force fed him a pawful of yarrow. I turned to redstar and hurriedly shoved several yarrow flowers into his mouth then massaged throat until he swallowed. Several long moments later they both throw up white substances the had petals in it then fell back to the ground Theyre shallow breathing getting stronger.Shadowfur blinked his eyes he mumbled hollytear than slumped his head back on the ground and closed his eyes again. silverfish can you go gather mallow were running low. Yeah okey. He said peeling his eyes off the unconscious cats. I dragged redstar and shadow fur over to the side of the den. Suddenly the entrance to the den shutted and hollytear strolled in she paded past the herb clif not even noticing that I was here she growled at the sleeping bodies of redstar and shadowfur. couldnt just make it easy and just die from the poison oh well I’ll just have to do it my self. Fast as a viper she jumped on redstar and ripped out his throat and sliced open shadowfur’s throat. I stared at her in disbelief at what she just did. She turned around and just noticed that I was they and had seen her kill them.I saw fear flicker in her eyes featherwisker why did you just kill redstar and shadowfur she screeched. I didnt move my paws seem bolted to the ground I was so scared I didnt know what to do without even thinking I bolted thru the camp and into the forest If I went back I knew she would kill me. I woke up gasping for air the sun was just rising above the horizon being back at my camp was just a dream. I walked over to firefoot she didnt have a fever any more and there was no sign of infection. bt the cut was deep and with the slightest move the scab will open and start gushing blood. (Firefoot) 1 Chapter 4 I was finally able to move around and go hunting after three long moons of lying down sleeping and watching the days slip by one after the other. I watched the blueJay it was perched carelessly on a branch I jumped down on it grabbing its neck before it could escape. I heard a creaking sound and befor I realized what was happening the branch snapped I twisted in the air and land in a pile of decaying leaves. Nicely done now you just scared away all the prey. Featherwisker said as he watched the bluejay sending out an alarm call as it flew away. Featherwisker what happened to you that made you leave your clan?Why do you feel so comfortable hunting high up In trees?
