If I may generalize a little: 1- we like deals 2- paying in cash instead of credit is lucky and allows you to feel out what youre spending so you end up saving 3- we dont mind putting in the work (waiting in line), sometimes even for things we dont want or dont even know what the line is exactly for just yet (see item 1) 4- stranger on the street gets all up in your business also because of your race/phenomena...would you be open and jolly with them, I wouldnt necessarily be 5- of course you wont be so fresh or awake if you stayed for days in a lineup Most importantly: there are resellers of all kinds. If you paid me to stand in line and then we switched out at the finish, that would work as well. I also dont think its the same as ticket scalping as there is continual supply, and as such, its not jacking a limited pool of product then causing an unavoidable price increase.
