If I was a Principal at a certain High School,Matric Farewell would be done on January after getting results. And only people who passed well could attend. Because the way things are now,you find a person attending a Matric Farewell and still appear in Grade 12 the next year.Whats a Matric Farewell? Whats a Farewell? Answer: To arrange a ceremony or party for somebody because they are leaving. Its Funny how Blacks are obsessed with this Matric Farewell thing,I bet 90% of Black Grade 11s who collect their reports and find out that they passed,the first thing to cross their minds is Matric Farewell,not that he/she is almost done with High School. A person will spend months and months stressing about what to wear during the Matric Farewell rather than concentrating on producing good results. What matters at the end? That you went there wearing a R5000 shoe or that you produced 7 As? Lets be wise,Im not saying do not attend,but attend knowing that you wont come back to that very same grade. You nag your parents to buy you a very expensive attire for one day and Thank them with a Higher Certificate? Cumon! Thats Pure Warm Shit. Wise up you Matriculants.
