If I was looking at your chart without knowing you, with everything going on with your back, Id think you were a 55 year old. You have some of the worst combined issues Ive seen in my 20 years of practice. ~ my chiropractor after reviewing my X-rays and physical exam this morning Sports are great- until ALL those little injuries catch up to you later in life :-( Here are my current issues: I have... -spinal bone (L5) fractures (spondylolysis), -arthritis, -a hip thats inverted in its socket (sacroiliac joint), narrowed L1 and L2 discs, -and a reversed lumbar lordosis (meaning instead of my lower spine going in, it goes outward). As a result of all these little things, my muscles are extremely tight and stressed throughout my entire back. My sweet husband Neil Stanford, calls me a John Merrick with a MUCH prettier face. Lol Ive been agonizing after doing high impact exercise the past year, and lately even walking and standing for more than 20 minutes has become nearly unbearable. Only a few of my close friends know that exercise has really been hard for me. Its embarrassing not wanting to work out around others because I know the pain is too much to bare sometimes and I refuse to look like a sissy. My soccer days are officially done and my high impact days are numbered. Im hoping to find something low impact that still gives me a great physical workout without adding residual stress on my lower back. Whos got ideas on whats physically effective for someone like ME?!!!
