If Im going to serve God I have to do it wholeheartedly from my mind, heart, and soul. For me that means researching every doctrine that Ive ever been taught to ensure that it is not actually a pagan tradition being passed down for centuries by those who just blindly follow the blind. Question everything and prayerfully seek truth through extensive research that resonates with your innate wisdom. Do not let cognitive dissonance cause you to honor pagan Gods or commit idolatry just because its been masked as a Christian celebration. Do your own prayerful research because when you seek God with your whole heart you will not be satisfied with false traditions convoluted to appear holy. If I spend 5k on a purse I would be upset to know I was sold a replica. Same principle applies to my worship to God. If Im going to spend my valuable life serving a God Im going to make sure my worship & reverent traditions are going to our authentic Creator, not a pagan replica false God.
