Hi Girls, so glad to see comments, likes and questions. Keep them coming. To expand a little on sunscreen. First make sure your sunscreen is at least a 30 SPF or more. Here a a few responses to the questions or comments made: Ivette, great, Ms Advanced student, sweet you have a moisturizer with an SPF, double duty. Shirley, thats the same sunscreen Rick uses and I see no reason not to use it on your face. It absorbs quickly and is non comedogenic. Greta, so excited you are following me. You are the expert since you are a licensed aesthetician. Actually your comment on washing your face made a great transition for todays topic. Ladies, Ladies,Ladies!!!!! Did you know that 66% of women do not was their face before going to bed. Eww!! Big No.No There are several reasons that washing your face at night is absolutely crucial. First, as the day goes by, we are exposed to dirt, oil and pollution from just being out doors along with the makeup we applied in the a.m. If you go to bed like that, your pores become clogged which in turn causes bacteria (acne) and large pores. All that dirt starts accumulating and a layer of dead skin cells, oils and dirt just sits on top making your skin look dull and flakey. Hello? Who doesnt want that J Lo Glow. Also washing your face is a beneficial because the skincare treatments you apply before bed can easily activate and become effective. I also recommend washing in the morning. Your skin in the morning accumulates extra oils along with any residue from the products you applied in the evening and agin it primes your skin for any serums or skincare products you apply before your makeup Now Dont confuse soap with facial cleansers. Soap can strip your skin of its natural oils and unbalance its natural PH level. Types of cleansers: Oily skin or acne prone skin use cleansers that foam or lather to remove excess oil Mature skin needs more hydration so use a milky or creamy cleanser Cleansers I have used and recommend: #1. SkinMedica Facial Cleanser, Cost: $33. Found in derm offices, plastic surgeons and on- line Its a clear gel and very lightweight. It does an excellent job taking off make-up #2. MAC Lightful-Marine Bright Cleanser. Cost: $25. This is what I am currently using. Its a mousse-style cleanser, good job taking off makeup and doesnt dry me out. #3. MAC Green Gel. Cost: $21. Its very popular and a best seller of MAC cleansers. Good for those with oiler skin and a little goes along way. It was too drying for me, but again very popular especially amongst the younger crowd. #4. Mario Badescu. Cost: $15. Found at Ulta. It lathers and the glycolic helps exfoliate and reduce dull skin Ok girls, again these are my personal recommendations. Not everyones skin reacts the same.. But I do promise that having beautiful skin begins with good skincare. Who doesnt want that natural looking flawless skin. Now as I promised, heres a quick, cheap and easy tip to look younger. What is the first thing you notice when you meet someone, their teeth/smile, right. Yellowing teeth makes you look older and who wants that. Using 3% Hydrogen Peroxide found any where and baking soda, can give you those pearly white teeth. I mix the two equal parts together to create a runny paste and brush my teeth with it then I finish brushing with regular toothpaste . I do this twice a week until I feel they are white enough. But be careful not to over do it because the baking soda is harsh and can take away the top layer of your teeth, ( use common sense). Too much of a good thing can be bad. Heres a short video from WebMD on teeth whitening thats informative. Again, I appreciate you all and look forward to helping you achieve the best you. Xoxo Until Monday, The best tool out there, EVERrrrr. I can honestly say, it was the beat investment Ive ever made. Even Rick agrees. Go Orange and Blue
