If Kevin Rudd wants to debate Tony Abbott he should recall - TopicsExpress

If Kevin Rudd wants to debate Tony Abbott he should recall parliament and debate in the House. The fact of the matter is parliament has ceased sitting until the election which is sometime in the future at an unknown date. Instead Kevin Rudd wants to run the country through the Media. This is not appropriate, nor is it due process. Parliament is the only acceptable Place in which the Parliamentarians are to debate policy and governance. The Fact is Tony Abbott did debate Kevin Rudd on the last sitting day of parliament, the only day that Kevin Rudd was the PM the day after his coup - the last sitting day of parliament. Do televise the debate during question time that day as Tony Abbott was a very credible and intelligent contributor to question time, and Kevin Rudd was his usual pathetic, malingering fuzzy logic self. Ordinarily an election should be held within four weeks of the last sitting day of parliament. Yet for some reason we have to wait 3 months or more, without parliament actually sitting. Give us a break Australia. Not only did Kevin Rudd stage a coup, but now he wants to bypass the by laws of parliament and have a media circus.
