If We Could See Beyond Today: Some people are so desperate to know how their life is going to turn out, that they hire fortune-tellers or psychics to predict their future. Of course, that is foolish, as only God knows the future, but if that was possible, would that really be what is best for us? If we knew that next week we were going to die in a car crash, would we live our lives differently? There would be no need to depend on God, since we already knew what was going to happen. The potential for discouragement is high, for if we knew we would never get that coveted job, the spouse we wanted, be as rich as we wanted, or we made so many bad choices that we ended up living a terrible life, then we might be tempted to just give up, before we even finish living out our life! But God in His infinite wisdom and love, shields us from knowing the future. He leads us step-by-step, day-by-day! God is interested in our well-being and guides us through the difficult challenges we face everyday! I love this old song that goes like this; If we could see, if we could know, we often say. But God in love a veil doth throw across our way. We cannot see what lies before, and so we cling to him the more, He leads us til this life is oer, Trust and obey.
