If a man dies at the age of thirty one and another at the age of - TopicsExpress

If a man dies at the age of thirty one and another at the age of ninety one, how their life is judged by others. It is quite natural that the former is pictured as an unfortunate, unfinished, and incomplete life and latter as a blessed and fortunate. It is the human way of thinking. It can be argued that the latter is made to live for another sixty years and so on and becomes successful. If his life also ends in disappointment and despondency, is then the judgment accurate? What is reasonable to human brain, for a short period, is pronounced as truth because our heart is so. It is wobbly and vulnerable. But he himself, later, finds it unfit and starts to redefine everything trying to make a logical connection between his faith, life, death and life after death. It is then he enters the realm of search for truth- the quest for truth- the philosophical and existential conflicts and struggles. Why this life; why I was born; why the happiness is momentary; why evil; why the pain, sorrows; why death; why I am not stable; how could I live; what happens to me after death; is there god; why can’t I succeed; what about the marriage; why this life, let me die; am I accidental or God created. Bewildered by such burning questions, he desperately and continually strives for some sort of balancing in his life. Educated or uneducated, cultured or uncultured, plenteous or penniless, all wrestle with such challenges and queries. The wealthiest and the most literate are brutally haunted by such mental clashes since they somehow achieve what this world can provide in its maximum. Having reached the pinnacle of the worldly pleasure, happiness, and success they ask, “What is next?” No single step to go up. Abruptly, they become exasperated not knowing what to do. They sense deep inside the emptiness looming up. The question ‘what is next’ always precedes them as a driving force .Now, the question itself disappears. This is the serious situation that spoiled scores of renowned celebrities and forced them to commit suicide. NO HOPE FROM THIS WORLD. THE WORLD ENDS BEFORE THEM. Some of them believe in God, but look skeptical. They just believe in Him, without having the faith. First and foremost, ‘how’ one lives in this world matters more than ‘how long.’ What comes next is controversial because it is the point where the leading worldviews and beliefs, either religious or irreligious, about ‘life after death’ differ. If there is hope beyond this world, it is essential to find out what is the life beyond death. When one can establish a coherent connection between these two (about his life on earth and life after), I believe, such a man can be ready to leave this world with complete satisfaction any time. By establishing the logical connection between ‘belief and life’, one can evict all confusions, existential and philosophical problems..
