The 1 Car Policy Explained In previous years, the terms and conditions for Season Tickets have stipulated that the pass is valid for one car at any one time in Saunton Beach car park; however the pass had been transferable. Sadly, we have discovered that this flexibility is being heavily abused, for example people sending family members up the hill to give the ticket to another car, and thereby getting multiple cars in on a single ticket. There are other ways that it is being abused which are currently under a fraud investigation and the details cannot be discussed. As recommended by the Police and as is also used in other car park permits in the area, with regret we have had to implement a temporary 1-car per pass system for 2015 in order to protect ourselves from ongoing fraudulent behaviour. A TEMPORARY measure We would like to stress this is a temporary measure, unlike other car parks where it is permanent, or where there are no season tickets offered; and we are currently working to bring in another parking scheme for 2016, which will allow Season Tickets to be legitimately transferred between vehicles. We hope that this new system will also allow users to pay only for the time that they spend in the car park, and avoid having to pay the daily charge. How will this year’s pass work? This year’s Season Pass is in the form of a window sticker that must remain fixed and clearly displayed in the allocated vehicle. This will be checked and signed off a list on entry. What happens if I get a new car? If you change your car by selling it or have to have a replacement vehicle for a period of time, then upon the receipt of your old pass, we will issue you with a new pass free of charge for the new vehicle. We apologise that for some people the new one-car rule may not seem viable, but would like to assure you all that we are working hard to develop a new and more user-friendly system for 2016.
