If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, - TopicsExpress

If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. (jhn7:17,18) Finding the truth and recognizing it from the heart!!! Have you ever listened to a religious speaker and wondered if they were telling the truth?? Oh my what we need to do is TEST them > their words should agree with, not contradict the Bible and that their words should point to God and His will and not toward themselves!!!! Now Im just sharing what the Lord is giving me this morning - on His Word - Im not pointing NO fingers whatsoever to nobody - Im stating facts in His Word!!! Throughout my life, been raised in church - Ive heard a lot of preachers say one thing and do the opposite on the outside of those four walls called the sanctuary!! This hit me hard this morning reading these words. I wanted to move on but I kept coming back to these verses. There is an implicit/absolute truth promise in Jesus statement - Christ Jesus located the issue of recognizing truth not in the intellect but in the heart!! If there is a readiness to do Gods will - discernment will follow!!! It is recognizing the sound of His voice!!! You dont have to have a verbal loud roar of thunder hit you in the head - to know when He is speaking!!! See as I studied this out, the Pharisees spent their days trying their best to achieve holiness by keeping the rules that they had added to Gods Law. Now Jesus accusation that they didnt keep Moses laws stung them deeply!! In spite of their pompous pride in themselves and their rules, they did not even fulfill a legalistic religion, for they were living far below what the law of Moses required. We should go beyond the means of the requirements of all the dos and donts - to the means of being kind and forgiving, serving others and showing love!! See while Jesus words were addressed to the skeptics of His day - they still have application to each of us today!! God wants us to know Him and to understand both His revelation and His will for all of our lives!! For our ability to discern both truth and Gods daily guidance hinges not so much on our intellect as on our heart attitude!! Ouch!!! Im stepping on my own toes this morning!!! Lord forgive me!!! See if we are all truly committed to doing the Lords will, whatever that will may be, we will be able to discern Gods will!!! God is persistent - oh how shall I put it so that you can know for sure - well take for instance, you have a neighbor or someone comes to your house and knocks and knocks at the door and you dont go to the door - or say you have a friend that calls and calls and calls your phone and you dont answer it - you let it go to voice mail :) they keep on - that is persistence!! When God has a message as well for you - He is persistent!! When God speaks, you can expect Him to keep showing up, refusing to go away - oh my how I can pull some people out of the Bible for examples right now - but gotta keep getting it!!! I know of this for a fact - cause He has done it to me!!! God keeps communicating until you recognize who He is and what He is saying!!! All I can think of right now is Him telling us in His Word - Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.(rev3:20) We are taught that this is just for sinners, the lost that havent accepted Jesus in their hearts - well that is true but there is so much more - when you look deep into His Word!!! This was for the people in the church at Laodicea, the people who already believed in Jesus as the Messiah!!! This is a look at Gods own persistence with His own people!!! For those who like to become lukewarm - oh buddy - you better watch out - cause God doesnt like those kind of peoples ways - He would rather spew you out of His mouth!!! Thats Bible!! We should at all times be ready to listen for His voice - The Lord leads us through His Word and yes through feelings and even through all circumstances - and mostly through all three together!!! Youll get it in a minute!!! If you havent already!!! ;) Let me just say this before I get to carried away in this - There is no such thing as a coincidence with God!!! Take time to listen!!! In closing this up - We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (rms8:28) Stand still - - and let God move!!!!
