I thought Northern Bavaria was lovely but as soon as you get into the Tyrol its summat else! Cloud topped, tree covered mountains, valleys studded with cute chalet-infested villages and baroque churches, rivers, lakes, castles, and a drivers dream of a motorway. Todays drive was 10 hours, from wurzburg in Germany, through Austria (which is simply breathtaking) and into Slovenia. But Ive ended it feeling very happy indeed. Plus... Nige arrives tomorrow!!!! :-)
