If anyone ever considers buying a counterfeit badge or sneaking around without one at all, just know that not only are you stealing from the con, but you are stealing from every congoer who bought a legitimate badge. Those badges pay for EVERYTHING from the voice actors, to consweet, to the hotel rental space itself. They are almost the entire revenue for cons and without that money, the con cant support itself or provide the best experience for the congoers. It could lead to fewer guests the next year, completely getting rid of consweet, badges increasing in price, increases in security, and at worse, the con shutting down completely. If you get caught doing it at an animecon.org con, you will get banned for at minimum a year from all of our cons, but in some cases, you will get a permanent one, even to future cons we might start. It is a big deal and we will treat it as such. We will not let a few bad apples ruin the experience for all of our supporters. Some people might consider this greedy of the cons, but if youve ever bought a badge to a con, this should make you just as angry as it makes us.
