If anyone is curious about the mediums I use in my artwork, the short answers almost all of them. the long answer is this: I begin with a base of either tea or acrylic over a paper collage glued to canvas, then I move to a series of drawings that set both an armature and a series of icons and objects that are intended to tell a story in the finished work. From there I lay in some light thin acrylics or watercolor to set up a color scheme. From this I add a layer of thinned out black and umber oils to set the dark values of the composition. After this I erase some of the oil and, after allowing them to dry, I add a layer of white gouache. From here I add some punch with either a chalk pastel or two or more prominent acrylics to bring back the color scheme. After this point its a matter of articulating details and filling in ideas with more definition, as well as line qualities and such. This involves oil pastels and more acrylics for more exact definition. I generally seal the final piece with workable fixatif spray. So yes, I use, collage, tea, pencil, watercolor/acrylic, oil, gouache, chalk pastel, oil pastel, more acrylic, etc.
