Description As some of you may know and some may not, Matt has been dealing with having one kidney since birth, causing him chronic kidney disease. Growing up he was restricted to which activities he could participate in and there were times were he had to miss school to go to doctors appointments in Boston. Long story short Matt has been facing the fact there he will inevitably need a kidney. Just this past August, he was informed him that his kidney function has declined dramatically. That being said, he was monitored very closely and began the search for a kidney donor. He then joined the transplant list which is time consuming on its own, with merely having blood work done each month to remain on the list. In January Matt underwent a catheter placement in his right chest just under his clavicle for immediate dialysis. This happened very abrupt and was life changing for him, and this is only the beginning of his transplant journey.
