If anyone is interested in watching this Universal Sports (a channel that is partners with NBC Sports and NBC) is going to broadcast the final game of The Professional Inline Hockey Association (PIHA) best-of-seven Finals. The game will be broadcast by tape delay on Universal Sports along with several other 1/2 hour segments of the entire series. THE INITIAL BROADCAST IS TONIGHT, WEDNESDAY MARCH 5, AT 7:00PM EASTERN. The series was a hard fought contest that saw the Marple Gladiators triumph 4 games to 2 over the Parker Prowlers. There were several NCRHA players that participated in the series. This is a rare opportunity for the sport of inline hockey to reach a national audience (approximately 40,000 households receive Universal Sports Channel). Universal will be keeping a close eye on these ratings and has mentioned ideas on other ways to get inline hockey within their programming. If possible, the entire inline hockey community is being asked to tune in to these broadcasts in hopes that it will lead to such things as the NCRHA gaining future exposure on TV. In addition to watching yourself (if you receive the channel), we asking you to please forward this to anyone that might be interested, post a quick note on websites, Facebook, Twitter, etc so we can get as many people as possible tuned in.
