If anyone wants to follow the Dolphins this year, heres a quick summary The Dolphins have made it to 5 Super Bowls (71, 72, 73, 82, 84), winning 2 (72, 73). The 1972 Dolphins continue to be the only team in NFL history to have a perfect record of 17-0. They also have had one of the best QBs of all-time in Dan Marino. Historically, the Dolphins are one of the best franchises in the league, and had the highest winning percentage of any team until the early 2000s sometime. Ever since Marino retired in 2000, the team has never quite been the same. Theyve been pretty mediocre ever since then, and never found a suitable replacement quarterback until now! The New England Patriots have had control over our division for the past decade (minus 2008) Last year, our team had good chance of making the playoffs, but bombed their last 2 games and just missed with a final record of 8-8. There was also a bit of a scandal that you may have heard about. This year, we hope to get over those problems. On offense, we hired a new and exciting offensive coordinator (Bill Lazor) who should shake things up. Our 3rd year QB is Ryan Tannehill, who we hope to be the lord and savior weve been waiting for over a decade. Our offensive line, which was a complete disaster last season, has been completely re-worked (big signing in Brandon Albert), and can hopefully keep Tannehill alive this year. The Dolphins signed Knowshown Moreno to help with the running back position alongside Lamar Miller. We have a pretty great group of receivers in Brian Hartline, Mike Wallace (if they get chemistry), Brandon Gibson, Charles Clay, etc... On defense, we have a top defensive line led by All-Pro Cameron Wake, and a top Cornerback in Brent Grimes. Our big weakness is the linebackers on defense.
