>>If somebody smacked somebody else’s kid as hard as he could, that would normally be a matter for the police. However, because he did this in a Christian context, it is ignored. We see this all the time, Christians have a get out of jail free card. They can deny kids medical attention. They can force their religion on others. They can harass people on their death beds. They can beat up gay people. They can interfere with education of other people’s kids. They can interfere with other people’s birth control… They are so dense they don’t even see they have done anything wrong. Further, the kid had every constitutional right NOT to take the pastor’s god seriously. Freedom of religion includes freedom from religion. After all, the stories the Christians tell are absurd. One verse that every kid should learn: Isaiah 16:11 What bully! The kid outsmarted the pastor in debate, and the only retort he could come up with was punching the kid’s lights out. “One horse-laugh is worth ten thousand syllogisms. It is not only more effective; it is also vastly more intelligent.” ~ Henry Louis Mencken 1880-09-12 1956-01-29
