If the Peshawar incident showed us anything, its people. A few kind actually.. You have your vigil selfie, and facebook sympathizers, the people wholl ride on someones martyrdom shamelessly, plagiarize their personal lives for the sake of likes, theyll share graphic images of the martyred children, as if that will help ease the pain, they will GLADLY share pictures of taliban being crucified, as if vengeance is something that should be openly celebrated. And then we have our facebook jihadists! Wholl go around telling amazingly elaborate conspiracy theories about how everything is Americas fault! I dropped my phone while taking a shit, Americas fault! People who will try their very best to justify what the taliban do, even though they themselves know how wrong they exactly are. And lastly the last group of people are who continue to live their lives as if nothing happened, shrug everything off, because thats how cold hearted weve become, nothing phases us anymore, this is routine for us, today it was 150, next time itll be 250. This is not just a group of people, this is 90% of common Pakistanis, including me yes, people, who are so used to terrorism as a part of their daily lives, that they just dont care anymore, until it does not happen to them, until they themselves dont lose loved ones to an act of terrorism, they dont stand up, i dont stand up, you dont. Because we are safe. For now. We are safe, and we wait, we wait until its our school, its our city, its our homes that are being affected, and then well mourn, because thats just what kind of people we have all become, the mourning kind.
