If the state congress would not have dismissed soumya ranjan - TopicsExpress

If the state congress would not have dismissed soumya ranjan pattanaik from party, then what would have been the repercussion in 2014 general election that no body knows? But after his dismissal there is so many hue and cry and even many went overboard and say that the party is gone. But the real question is, if he continues in party after so many reminders not to go for rallies then what would have been the outcome in 2014 election it is also not known? It is sure that the question of soumyaranja’s dismissal will hover around the media and party circles till the end of 2014 election. But the reality is congress in odisha still not ready to go to people. Even when niranjan patnaik was PCC chief this was the situation. There is no doubt that Soumyaranjan Patnaik is a talented figure. But he has hardly any mass appeal. The problem in congress is there are so many leaders in party who always think they are the chief minister material. But even failed to win in own constituencies. Even Some leaders are there who always jostle at Delhi Darbar just to replace PCC chief ( who ever he may be) just after a week. Even some leaders who have some youth organizations in different pockets feel they are the only solution. But the reality is very different in ground level. Until the leaders are united and show a brave face to fight with BJD there is hardly any chance for congress to come to power. Rather BJP has more scope to fill up the gap if the party works hard and go with a strategy.
