If there can be even one tiny, pale bit of comfort it is this: Naftali, Gil-ad and Eyal brought unity to a very divided Nation of Israel. I cannot even begin to recount the acts of giving and kindness, large and small, public and hidden, that I have seen over the past 18 days. It both breaks my heart and gives me strength. I had an idea - this Friday, wherever you are, do one random act of kindness. One catch - the kindness should be towards someone who needs it or for whom it is difficult for you to be kind. Do something kind and generous for the neighbor you dont like. For your virulently left-wing coworker. For your very needy family member whom you dislike. It can be close to home. But it should be someone for whom you would not ordinarily do something nice. In memory of Naftali, Gil-ad and Eyal. So that the spirit of giving and loving kindness we have seen does not end. Please pass this forward and translate.
