Ahluwalia blinker barb at state Writes VIVEK CHHETRI Darjeeling, Oct. 28: The BJP Darjeeling MP, S.S. Ahluwalia, today said the “district administration” in the state has put blinkers on its eyes and termed the attack on his party supporters by suspected Trinamul cadres in Birbhum “unfortunate”. He urged the district administrations to work towards restoring “confidence in the minds and hearts of the people” in Birbhum.“The incident is unfortunate. The district administration has put on blinkers... If the administration acts, there would be no violence… The judiciary is closely watching,” he said. “Bombs are being found at health centres and we will not be surprised if malkhana (store room) in police stations are used to stock bombs. This can happen, she is the home minister,” the BJP leader said without taking names. “TMC was hand-in-glove (in the Burdwan blast case) or else, how would illegal madarsas and bomb and gun-manufacturing units be running without a single arrest?” Ahluwalia said 24 terror cells of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh were operating in India. “Bangladesh regime is reporting that Bengal territory is being used to destabilise their government... Law and order is state subject but terrorist activities will be investigated by the Centre... The NSA does not visit places often,” he said. He added earlier the state did not co-operate with the NIA but now it is because a “sword is hanging” on it.
