If there is any one statement from the Bible that has been the central inspiration for United Research, it has been what Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: Ye are the Light of the world. We have taken this to mean that each one of us has the Light of God within us and that we have a responsibility for planet Earth. It is our responsibility to use the Light to increase that which is Good in everyone and everything. If we look at this world that we have responsibility for, we see many hurting people. Probably the densest area of hurt is the Middle East. For decades, for centuries, for millennia, this has been an area of anger, hatred, and revenge. Seemingly since the beginning there has been hatred of the Jews. Now we see hatreds between Muslim Sunnis and Muslim Shiites. The region is aflame. Syria is several years into a civil war. Iraq is disintegrating under an assault from extremists. Libya is a fragmented, weak state. Stronger countries in the region are threatened by the chaos around them. So let us take time this Saturday to fulfill our mission of being the Light of the world. Let us offer our prayers of Light and Love for our brothers and sisters in the Middle East. You might want to consider prayers such as: •The Creator releases all of the past and all of the hatreds in Syria to the Light. The Creator fills the factions in Syria with Love, Light, and Peace. •The Creator releases all of the past and all of the hatreds in Libya to the Light. The Creator fills the factions in Libya with Love, Light, and Peace. •The Creator releases all of the past and all of the hatreds in Iraq to the Light. The Creator fills the Sunnis, the Shiites, and the Kurds with Love, Light, and Peace. •The Creator fills the people of Egypt with Love and Light and Peace. The Creator fills the government of Egypt with Love and Light and Peace. The Creator fills the Muslim Brotherhood with Love and Light and Peace. •The Creator fills the people of Jordan with Love, Light, and Peace. •The Creator fills the people of Saudi Arabia with Love, Light, and Peace. •The Creator fills the people of the United Arab Emirates with Love, Light, and Peace. •The Creator fills the people of Yemen with Love, Light, and Peace. •The Creator releases the past of the United States in the Middle East to the Light. The Creator releases the wars the United States has fought in Kuwait and Iraq to the Light. The Creator releases the relationships the United States has with Arab nations to the Light. The Creator releases the relationship the United States has with Iran to the Light. The Creator releases the relationship the United States has with Israel to the Light. The Creator releases the relationship the United States has with Turkey to the Light. The Creator releases the relationship the United States has with Egypt to the Light. The Creator releases the relationship the United States has with all nations to the Light. The Creator fills the people of the United States with Love and Light and Peace. •The Creator fills the people of the world with Love and Light and Peace.
