If they get a short, stocky, ugly latina to play the role, NO ONE would come to see the film. So, they get a tall, gorgeous Welsh woman to play the role because she has dark hair, & to them ALL Latinas have dark hair. Doesnt matter if the short stocky latina CAN play the role perfectly & get an Oscar out of it. they could ugly her up like they did for Charlize Theron but that means 10 hours in a makeup chair. This is what happens in a big budget, big studio produced film. A small indie film would have used the short stocky latina because of the small budget.
