If this is Purple week, then this is my contribution. I collected this in 1959 in an unnamed slope mine near Cave-in-Rock Illinois. It was the first mine I went into in Southern Illinois. There was virtually no mineralization in the mine but at the very back end, I noticed a layer of mud/clay about 1 foot thick at eye level. I saw a small (about 1/16) dark point sticking out and this is what I found. It was the first piece of Fluorite I ever collected. It does look much nicer in person!
