If this is true, it is utterly ridiculous & downright scary. Demanding justice, by unconstitutional means (right to a fair trial), for a violent act by threatening violence? Violence....in the form of a Civil War. What message is this sending society? Certainly not the message I imagine a majority of the black population wants to be delivered. I, in no way, want a debate to ensue regarding equal rights & discrimination. I am simply giving my opinion about this statement, not about equal rights, racism, or the shooting in Ferguson..... The Black Panthers claim that theyre objective,as an organization, is to represent the black population by speaking out for equal rights. However, their words & actions only depict violence in a racial war. Not what the majority of their people (Americans is what they should be referred as)want. These Americans are wanting to be treated equally,(again, not a debate on that issue). They want to be seen through non-judgmental eyes, to be seen as the American whole...not placed in some subcategory. No labels. But, we are all subjected to labeling. If not for the color of our skin, it will be for some other part of our individuality. Labeling will never cease. Its embedded into the minds of all human beings (even animals use a form of labeling). But, I digress, whether or not equality is the goal of the Black Panthers, they are not representing or helping anyone. They are spearheading a racial war, in the name of peace & equality, and only adding to the problem. Their actions place doubt, fear, & anger into those who are racist....only adding fuel to their fire and making the line of racism & discrimination larger. Any American, black, white, or otherwise should be ashamed of this organization.
