The Merciful and Compassionate USA in a Pig’s Fundament: The United States of America is like a very intelligent underachiever. It has all of this potential but refuses to take the next progressive step in its development from a democratic republic to a true pure democracy. Many of the constipated brains on the right don’t see our constitution as an evolving document toward a truly exceptional and progressive country. Just think. We started out as a country where only males had a right to vote to a country today where almost everyone has the right to vote. I would love to say that everyone in this country has the right to vote, but since the right wing Supreme Court gutted the voting rights law, more and more extremist GOP controlled states are now messing with citizen’s right to vote. You would think that while we watched the voting spectacle on TV in those states where Republicans have been given the right to mess with the vote, there would be mass outrage. I live on Staten Island, NY and I did not have to wait hours in line to vote like they had to do in Rick Scott’s Florida. And when I saw the long voting lines in Florida because Scott had eliminated early voting, I was certainly outraged, but I was scared too, frightened for our besieged democratic republic, now being threatened by the new GOP extremists in the federal, in the state, and in the local governments. Anyone who votes for Republicans are also voting for their agenda which includes destroying this country as we know it. They are the force at work behind why our country will be one of the least compassionate and least merciful countries in the world, on par with Saudi Arabia and the like. The GOP always talks of American “exception” but not in the way that they think. Our country is so “compassionate” and so “merciful” and so exceptional that it did not have any kind of universal health care until the Obama era about 250 years since the birth of this nation. And now that we finally have some kind of health care for all (including the insurance companies intact), the right wing extremist GOP want to destroy it. In fact all these extremist turds have done since they were defecated into office is try to undermine or destroy Obamacare, and when they weren’t busy taking vacations, they were hard at work also trying to destroy a woman’s right to choose. They have a multi-billion dollar propaganda campaign going to convince people to call for the repeal of Obamacare and a return to the abusive insurance company practices of pre-affordable care act days. That’s how stupid the GOP thinks that we are. This right wing extremist controlled congress hates this president so much, they will even destroy their own plan (Obamacare used to be Romneycare and before that Bob Dolecare) rather than see it succeed. Additionally, this extremist party is so tied to corporations and the insurance companies that they will do anything to make sure that only they are insured and the rest of the citizens of this country are not. Remember to ask them to describe the plan they will replace Obamacare with. It is called the SHOD plan which stands for Stay Healthy Or Die. To Be Continued
