If we as individuals do not have a moral compass inside of us guiding our decision making process, we will make decisions that will effect people around us and our environment. The effect that an individual has on his environment is directly related to his sphere of influence. If this individual joins with another individual of like thinking, then the sphere of influence increases by adding the two individual spheres of influence and subtracting any common areas the individuals share. Having said all that, imagine a group, community, city, or even a nation making decisions without the aforementioned moral compass.
