If we believe we can lose our salvation, our concept of salvation, - TopicsExpress

If we believe we can lose our salvation, our concept of salvation, of grace, of the love of God is extremely flawed, to say the least. If you can lose your salvation, then: -You are born-again, then un-born again. -You are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, then un-sealed. -You have your name written in the Book of Life from before the foundation of the world, then your name taken out of the Book of Life. -The Lamb of God is slain before the foundation of the world for His own and then un-slain. -You are predestined by God to salvation and then un-destined. -You are elected by God for salvation then un-elected. -You are called by God to salvation, then un-called. -You are chosen by God to salvation, then un-chosen. -Jesus shed His blood for you then un-shed it. -Jesus died for your sins on the cross, then un-died. -God saved you, then un-saved you. -You are adopted by God, then you are disowned by God. -You are His, then you are not. -He loves you, then He loves you not. -You have everlasting life, then you have everlasting death. -You are rescued from hell, then you are cast into hell. -Your sins are blotted out, made white as snow, forgotten, cast into the deep sea, then your sins are un-blottted, made red as crimson again, remembered, and fished out of the sea. -You are made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus then made the un-rightesness of God. -God made you a vessel of honor, then a vessel of wrath. -You were set free by the Son and became free indeed, and then you were bound again. -You became a friend of God and then He un-friended you. -God saved you and then He condemned you. What a terrible and tragic view of salvation. You do not even know what salvation is if you can think this way. God will complete the good work He began in you. His love is unconditional and everlasting. His grace is sufficient. His gifts and calling are irrevocable. God is faithful. You cannot lose salvation, because salvation is not of you, salvation is of the LORD. John 6:37, 39-40, 44 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.
