If you LOOOOOOVE, lets say, strawberry yogurt..... You love everything about it. The color. The texture. The taste. Everything. If I added a tsp of puréed cauliflower and a tsp of puréed beets to your container.... Would you notice? Why cauliflower and beets? Well, bc they are the same color and would inconspicuously mix well. So would you? This is how you can introduce different foods to children who are picky eaters due to developmental delays or just plain stubbornness. Take a look at what they love to eat and, LITTLE BY LITTLE, add other things to it, *slightly* altering the taste each time. Before you know it, you child will be eating vegetables instead of sugar. After they are transitioning, dont purée it all.... Add small chunks. They will get used to it and they WILL NOT starve themselves. Add pureed veggies to ground chicken to make chicken nuggets. You can make a ton of them and freeze them. Make white sweet potato fries instead of regular. Finely chop up cauliflower and add some to the rice they are eating tonight. Thats a really good one bc one day they will be eating all cauliflower and not even know it.
