If you are a Giants fan Im sure you dont need me to tell you this, but your team is just bad right now. The Giants best pitcher, Madison Bumgarner, barely made it out of the first inning last night, giving up four runs, and the Giants offense managed only four hits, in getting shutout again, 5-0 by the Pirates. Vance Worley, from McClatchy High School, threw a complete game, his first shutout in the Major Leagues. Barring major changes, and I dont see that happening considering the Giants last big additions were Dan Uggla and Jake Peavy, maybe fans best hope is to remember this is baseball, and things turn dramatically, seemingly for no reason. Remember how dominate the Giants were at the start of the season, pitching and hitting? I wouldnt bet against a return to that at some point, although I sure havent seen anything lately to indicate it might happen anytime soon. For now torture takes on a whole new meaning for the Giants and their fans.
